No JAO products are phototoxic. The citrus oils used in our formulations either have furanocoumarins removed or are present in such low concentrations that they do not pose a risk of phototoxicity.

Certain citrus extracts can cause phototoxic reactions when exposed to UV light, leading to skin discoloration. This is due to furanocoumarins, which are found in oils like Bergamot Peel, Bitter Orange Peel, Grapefruit Peel, Lemon Peel, and Lime Peel.
