During their development, JAO products undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure their safety, stability, and efficacy. These tests are repeated multiple times to thoroughly validate each formulation before launch.

All products are assessed for safety through cumulative irritancy testing on human volunteers during the development process.

Before any product is released to the public, it must pass a Product Safety Assessment and Toxicological review conducted by an independent, qualified agency. This review evaluates both the formulation as a whole and its individual ingredients. These assessments are complex and detailed, based on both the assessor's expertise and industry standards.

We do not test our products or ingredients on animals and do not use animal-derived ingredients such as beeswax, honey, or lanolin in our formulations. We are proud to be Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny approved and listed as cruelty-free and vegan by PETA.
